Nuno Borges, 27, who reached the 46th position in the ATP hierarchy for the first time in February, climbed seven places, thanks to his performance at the Rome Masters 1,000, where he reached the round of 16, in which he was eliminated by the German Alexander Zverev.

The German tennis player, who ended up winning the tournament, climbed one place to fourth, behind Djokovic, Italian Jannik Sinner and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, second and third respectively, relegating Russian Daniil Medvedev to fifth place.

The other rise in the top 10 was led by Polish Hubert Hurkacz, winner of the 2024 edition of the Estoril Open, who also equaled the best ranking of his career, reaching eighth position, surpassing Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Although Nuno Borges remains the only Portuguese tennis player among the top 100 in the world, the biggest climb belonged to Jaime Faria, who entered the top 200, thanks to a 'jump' of 50 places, to 183rd, the best position in his career, at 20 years old.

The women's ranking also kept the podium unchanged, with Polish Iga Swiatek leading, ahead of Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka and American Coco Gauff, second and third respectively, while Portuguese Francisca Jorge climbed five places, to 198th.
