The current champion Sporting will go to the Lisbon City Hall this Monday afternoon to be received by the mayor Carlos Moedas. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
Two weeks after winning their 20th national title, players, coaching staff, staff and management will be honored by the leader of the city council, Carlos Moedas, and his executive.
The Alvalade team will show the trophy to the dozens of fans who are expected to be at Praça do Município. Carlos Moedas is expected to hand over the usual Saint Anthony figures, painted in green.
Recall that on Saturday, at the Alvalade Stadium, Pedro Proença, President of the Portuguese League, handed the players the trophy that will now be shown to the fans from the balcony of the Lisbon City Hall.
This will be the final point in the festivities that began two weeks ago at the Marquês de Pombal. Now, the lions have the Portuguese Cup final ahead of them on May 26 at the Jamor Stadium, against FC Porto.
