Manuel Fernandes' son updates his father's health condition
Former Sporting player has been hospitalized for several weeks.

Tiago Fernandes, son of Manuel Fernandes, commented on Monday about his father's health condition, who has been hospitalized for several weeks fighting against a serious illness. After the visit of Frederico Varandas and Viktor Gyokeres, the son of the glory of the Lions thanked the gesture and stressed his father's satisfaction in being able to see the most recent Cup up close.
"He is stable. Everyone knows that it is a difficult disease to control, but he is hopeful of improving so that he can go home. It is a disease with ups and downs, so it has to be always monitored", Tiago Fernandes began by saying, on the Sporting TV channel, continuing.
"He is subject to some infections, derived from the disease itself, but he held on until Sporting became champion and now he would like to go home to follow the Cup [of Portugal] final and the next season. God willing, he will be able to go home and be in a more comfortable position", concluded Tiago Fernandes.
