"Rúben Amorim will be successful wherever he is"
Former coach of Sporting's B team praised the helmsman of the green and whites.

Filipe Çelikkaya, former Sporting B coach, gave an interview to Sky Sports this Tuesday, in which he praised Rúben Amorim, with whom he has worked closely since he arrived at the Alvalade emblem in 2020.
"We think the same way, we behave the same way, we understand each other very well. He invited me to be part of something that we thought could be fantastic. We were not wrong. I think Rúben Amorim will be successful wherever he is, because he has the knowledge and is also a very good person. These two things are the steps to having a very good career. He creates a very good environment. It's fantastic. That's one of his secrets", stressed the Portuguese coach, also explaining his philosophy.
"My game philosophy is to dominate. I want to have the ball and create opportunities. I need to score more goals and I don't want to suffer, so I want to have a positional game, occupying the field with width and depth. That's my formation. I can't see the game any other way. But I can build with four and also with three, depending on the opponent. When I lose the ball, I want to react very quickly to recover it as soon as possible. Otherwise, I have to defend my goal", he continued.
"In four years, 25 players from the B team played for the A team. Most of Sporting's young players had been playing in 4x3x3 for many years, so we didn't want to change that. The system is not important. That comes when they reach the main team. We want to teach them the principles. The depth behind the defensive line, how to get one-on-one chances, how to get to the area aggressively to score, the pressure after losing the ball. And these concepts always remain", he concluded.
