Georg Steinhauser wins 17th stage, Tadej Pogacar remains leader in the Giro
German rider Georg Steinhauser (EF Education-Easy Post) won today's 17th stage of the Giro d'Italia solo at the top of the Passo Brocon, while Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) strengthened his comfortable lead in the general classification.

Steinhauser covered the 159 kilometers between Selva di Valgardena and Passo Brocon in 04:28.51 hours, 1.24 minutes ahead of the pink jersey, who came in second, and 1.42 ahead of Italian Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain-Victorious), third and leader of the youth.
In the overall, Pogacar is even more of a leader, now with a 7.42-minute advantage over Colombian Daniel Martínez (BORA-hansgrohe), second, and 8.04 over Briton Geraint Thomas (INEOS), third.
On Thursday, the 18th stage will be suitable for a sprint dispute, with 178 kilometers between Fiera di primo and Padua.
