Nacional's President says that it is necessary to "reinforce all positions"

On the sidelines of an event in the Salão Nobre of the Funchal Municipal Council, Rui Alves admits that he has already spoken with the technical team to plan the next season, in which he hopes to keep some of the most influential players, such as Gustavo Silva and Danilovic, who are, in his opinion, "to continue".
Rui Alves does not know if the budget of seven million euros foreseen for the next season will be enough, but he confided that it is necessary to "wait and see what happens in the Region", in allusion to the early elections on Sunday, in Madeira, which may produce changes in the financial support to the clubs.
The leader of the island emblem states that "it is still early" to define objectives for the next season, but promises a team with the "minimum quality" to play in the I League, from which the Nacional "should never have been".
Nacional's top scorer in the II League, Chuchu Ramirez, with 17 goals, and a total of 20 in all competitions, also admits continuing in Nacional, as he considers coach Tiago Margarido "like a father", and the Venezuelan hopes to "reach an agreement" to remain.
One week after having secured the return to the top tier of football in Portugal, the Madeiran team beat Mafra last Sunday, by 2-0, with goals from Chuchu Ramirez, at six and 45+1 minutes.
Nacional finished the II Portuguese Football League in second place, with 71 points, two less than the champion Santa Clara, which allowed the island emblem to return to the I League, three years after its last presence.
