Official: Lopetegui is the new West Ham manager
Ex-FC Porto takes over from David Moyes.

West Ham have announced, in the form of a statement released through official platforms at the end of Thursday morning, that they have reached an agreement with Julen Lopetegui, the man chosen to succeed David Moyes in charge of the first team.
Sporting coach Rúben Amorim, it is worth remembering, was once considered one of the strongest candidates for the position, but the choice ended up falling on the former FC Porto coach, who is thus back in action in the Premier League, almost a year after leaving the helm of Wolverhampton.
The London club did not reveal the length of the Spanish coach's contract, who will take office on July 1st. In his first statements after signing, he said he was "very happy to be part of the future" of a "great club".
"We will try to leave our mark on the club. I feel like we have a fantastic platform. I think the last few years have been very good to have this foundation, of course, but my ambition as a coach is to be better and better", he said.
"I am where I want to be. I am here because I want to be here, and for us it was a fantastic day when we closed the deal, because our commitment is to be here, 100%. We had other opportunities, but I am very happy that West Ham chose me", he continued.
"We arrived with the intention of creating a big, big noise. That's why we came, and we are excited about this challenge. Of course, we will do our best to help the club and the team reach the highest level", he added.
