"Paulo Fonseca? He's a great coach. If he goes to Milan, I'll be happy"
The Italian midfielder met the Portuguese coach at AS Roma.

Although it's not official, the Italian press anticipates that Paulo Fonseca's move to AC Milan is practically certain. And there are those who already approve of the move of the still coach of Lille, with whom he ends his contract, to the historic Milan club.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Nicolò Zaniolo, who crossed paths with Paulo Fonseca at AS Roma between 2019 and 2021, left high praise for the former FC Porto coach.
"Paulo Fonseca for me is a great coach, a very good person, honest. On the pitch, he likes attacking play, with him we always tried to attack. I got along well. If he goes to AC Milan, I'll be happy for him," began by saying the winger, who belongs to the Galatasaray squad, highlighting a quality of the Portuguese coach: "He says things to the players' faces... and believe me, that's not a given."
"Unfortunately, I didn't experience much of his second year because I was never there: with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament [suffered in the 2018/19 season], I only worked to recover. However, I remember the attention to detail he had in training and the serenity he showed in a difficult atmosphere like Rome. Not everyone has those qualities," continued the Italian international.
"At AC Milan he can obviously do better, also because the team is strong. Let's not forget that Fonseca, with AS Roma, reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, eliminating Sporting de Braga, Shakhtar and Ajax," he concluded.
