Santa Clara was the team that conceded the fewest goals in the league during the 2023/2024 season among the clubs in the I and II Football Leagues of the European top 7.

The 'incarnates' of Ponta Delgada conceded 19 goals in the 34 matches played in the Portuguese Second Division, a competition in which they were crowned champions with 73 points, also beating the club's previous record of 67 in professional championships.
In Portugal, after Santa Clara comes FC Porto, third place in the main tier, which conceded 27 goals in the 'same' 34 matches as the team managed by Vasco Matos.
Immediately below the Azoreans in the European panorama, comes the Dutch champions PSV, with 21 goals conceded, in 34 matches.
The third team with the fewest goals conceded was the Italian champions Inter Milan with 22, although the 'nerazzurri' emblem participated in 38 matches in the transalpine championship.
