Benfica's Defesa among the young central defenders with the greatest passing efficiency

The Football Observatory (CIES) released a new study on Monday, which reveals that António Silva is among the centre-backs under 23 years old with the lowest passing efficiency in the eight main European leagues.
The Portuguese international from Benfica recorded 94.1 percent accuracy, three tenths less than German Malick Thiaw from AC Milan. The podium is completed by Jorrel Hato (Ajax), who has 94%.
Also noteworthy is Sporting's Diomande, who is sixth on this list (93.6 percent), on par with Ahmetcan Kaplan from Ajax.
The criterion used by CIES in this ranking only took into account players who have accumulated at least 900 minutes in their respective championships.
