Sporting's Claque denounce "attempt to privatize the football party"

Torcida Verde, a cheering squad supporting Sporting, was not present in the stands of the Estádio Nacional, in Jamor, to watch the final of the Portuguese Cup, against FC Porto, due to a lack of tickets. In a note posted on social media this Monday, the cheering squad denounced an "unspeakable attempt" to "privatize the football party".
"Defeat on the pitch, great victory for the supporters of popular football! After the resounding conquest of the 24th title, the leonine football team was unable to win the Portuguese Cup in the final against FC Porto (1-2). For Torcida Verde, absent from the stands of Jamor, due to the lack of access to tickets, the final of the Portuguese Cup 2024 will be marked by the unspeakable attempt to privatize the football party, which has been taking place at the Estádio do Jamor for decades. Each Portuguese Cup final was transformed into a Portuguese football party, a legacy of generations of supporters of all clubs, of all social classes, of different creeds, and ethnicities", one can read in the note posted on the Facebook social network.
"In the 2024 edition, the owners of the ball showed their true nature, with the infamous attempt to prevent supporters from making the Portuguese Cup final the true football party. How can one describe the strange idea of preventing access to the entire area adjacent to the Jamor stadium to supporters without a ticket? The heralds of this strange idea certainly do not know that tens of thousands of supporters, unable to buy a ticket to enter the stadium, partied in the vicinity of Jamor. That is the fascination of the Portuguese Cup final", continues the note from the aforementioned leonine cheering squad.
"The infamous attempt to transform the People's Party into a private festival, with exclusive access to ticket holders, was stopped by the authorities of the Portuguese Republic, preventing the greed of the predatory interests that captured the clubs/SADs, certainly insensitive to the unimaginable inconvenience that this strange idea could cause... in addition to the profound contempt for the supporters! The tens of thousands of supporters who remained in the mythical Mata do Jamor, a public space, during the 120 minutes of the 2024 Portuguese Cup final, gave the best answer: football is a popular demonstration! The Portuguese Cup is the people's party! The supporters do not want the privatization of the Portuguese Cup final!", ends the statement.
