The leaders of the organization that oversees world football were at the Football City in Oeiras this morning, where they were received by the president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), Fernando Gomes, followed by a meeting in which they learned in some detail about the "Yalla Vamos 2030!" bid proposal.

Operational teams from the three Portuguese clubs that own the stadiums that will host the World Cup also participated in the meeting.

The José Alvalade stadium received the first technical inspection, with Sporting vice-president André Bernardo welcoming the delegation, and Alexandre Martins, Sporting's 'match day manager', presenting the stadium's features.

The FIFA delegation, led by Nicholas Rozenberg, and the Bid Committee, led by António Laranjo, then proceeded to the Estádio da Luz, where Miguel Bento, Benfica's commercial and marketing director, kicked off the guided tour by Bruno Sá and Nuno Constâncio, directors of events and security.

On Tuesday, FIFA and the 2030 World Cup Bid Committee will be at the Estádio do Dragão to visit FC Porto's facilities.

Portugal, Spain and Morocco will host the 2030 World Cup, FIFA announced in October last year.

Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will also host three matches of the 2030 World Cup, as a way of celebrating the centenary of the competition, whose first edition took place in Uruguay in 1930.
