The representatives of the international organization, headed by Nicholas Rozenberg, together with the elements of the candidacy commission "Yalla Vamos 2030!", led by António Laranjo, began the day with the recognition of two potential locations for the 'fan zone', the Alfândega area and the Avenida dos Aliados, with the accompaniment of Tiago Andrade, representing the Porto City Council.

In the Estádio do Dragão, already accompanied by João Borges, vice-president of FC Porto, the delegations were led by Ricardo Carvalho, director of facility management through the areas of the venue, with André Villas-Boas, president of FC Porto, taking advantage of a moment of pause in the visit to greet all those present.

After the inspection, which began the day before in the stadiums of Benfica and Sporting, Nicholas Rozenberg highlighted the "work that is being done by all those responsible for the clubs in accordance with the prerogatives of the candidacy".

An idea shared by António Laranjo: "It is worth mentioning the work of everyone for the sake of this candidacy".

In turn, João Borges, vice-president of FC Porto, considered it "an honour and an opportunity" for the Dragão to be part of the 2030 World Cup.

"It will allow us to make an investment in our infrastructure that we will be able to carry into the future and make a set of improvements to our facilities that will benefit us", he highlighted.

Portugal, Spain and Morocco will organize the 2030 World Cup, FIFA announced in October of last year.

Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay will also host three matches of the 2030 World Cup, as a way of celebrating the centenary of the competition, whose first edition took place in Uruguay, in 1930.
