Viktor Gyökeres called up to Sweden squad due to injury
Sporting forward Viktor Gyökeres will not participate in the Swedish national football team's work, the federation of that country announced today, due to an injury, missing the private matches with Denmark and Serbia.

Gyökeres, who scored 43 goals in 50 games in his debut season for the 'lions', was withdrawn, like Linus Wahlqvist Egnell, from the squad of the coach, Jon Dahl Tomasson, due to physical problems.
"It's a shame, both for Viktor and Linus and for us. We hope they have a good rehabilitation," explained the coach, quoted in a statement from the Swedish Football Federation.
The note released does not give an account of the type of injury, saying that both the forward and the defender "are forced to withdraw due to injuries suffered in the final phase of the seasons at the clubs", missing the stage that starts on Sunday in Malmö.
Gyökeres, 25, has 20 international caps, having scored six goals, three of them in 2023/24, including two in the failed qualification for Euro2024.
Sweden face Denmark in a week's time, then play Serbia on June 8.
