"The group is tired, but confident and with a great sense of commitment. The players are aware of the difficulties we will have, which is also essential for them to have, knowing that the path we have taken has always been very demanding and what remains will not escape that", said the coach, quoted by the Portuguese Football Federation website.

João Santos considers Serbia a "intense, aggressive team with good players", against whom the Portuguese team has to manage a "possible feeling of pressure".

"We have been concerned with managing these situations, easing them a little. We have to think that it is just another game, a game that we will discuss until the end, one of the games that we like to play, so we want to play and enjoy it", he said.

Portugal reached the semi-finals after winning Group D, ahead of England (4-1), France (1-2) and Spain (2-1), and beating Poland in the 'quarters', while Serbia was second in Group A and beat Austria (3-2) in the quarter-finals.

"We have to be at our best, as in all the moments of this European Championship. That is what I have asked the players. To discuss the game with Serbia, it will have to be like this, knowing perfectly well that it is a team with quality and that will have its moments. In those moments, we will have to endure and when ours come, we have to take advantage, be on top and be happier", he stressed.

On the other hand, striker Gabriel Silva reiterated that the team is determined to reach the final of this European Under-17 Championship.

"We are united, we have all worked with the same goal since we have been together. It is just another game to face like all the others. We want to enjoy the moment", he assured.

Gabriel Silva does not expect any easy games: "We have seen videos of them. They are a team with good players, strong physically and tactically. We have to show our worth and that we are better".

The Portuguese under-17 team held its last training session today in preparation for the game against Serbia, counting for the semi-finals of the European Championship of the category, scheduled for Sunday, in Larnaca, at 4:00 pm (in Lisbon).
