The possibility of Vítor Bruno taking Sérgio Conceição's place as FC Porto's technical director continues to be the talk of the town, and this Saturday, Augusto Inácio once again publicly highlighted the loyalty and seriousness of the former assistant of the Dragons, not hesitating to speak of a "completely mined terrain" if such a scenario materializes in one of André Villas-Boas' first major decisions, after having replaced Pinto da Costa in the management of the blue and white club.

"He is a very loyal and serious person, he is very much a group person, a family person, and, honestly, I don't like to see what he is going through. I encouraged him a long time ago to be a number 1 coach, a head coach, because I thought he had the competence and capacity for it. It was a question of opportunity. Things went on and now the opportunity to be a head coach has arisen. And I don't like to see what he is going through, it is not good for him, nor is it good for Sérgio Conceição. These things always mess with people's pride and feelings. I see Vítor Bruno as a very correct, very loyal person. "FC Porto-Boavista? The next day, Vítor Bruno posted a post saying 'Thank you Dragon'. Everyone interpreted it as proof that Sérgio Conceição would not continue, but it was proof that he was going to end his career as an assistant coach. And from then on it was a question of talking to Sérgio. I don't know what happened between those days and what happened until now. I don't like to see what is happening, no one deserves it, dirty laundry never did anyone any good, but when you touch someone's character and personal pride it is very complicated. People get hurt and sometimes neither is right or both are right. And they are attacking each other in a way that I think is not correct. Vítor Bruno only posted a post to clarify things, but he has been attacked with incredible things by colleagues from the technical team and, honestly, that is not done", he stressed next.

As found out by Desporto ao Minuto, Sérgio Conceição was dissatisfied when he saw Vítor Bruno's name as his possible successor at FC Porto, after his 'right-hand man' had communicated his decision to leave the technical team to head a project abroad as head coach, so he felt somewhat betrayed by his assistant since the days of Olhanense, in 2011/12. Augusto Inácio spoke of the difficulties that Vítor Bruno will face in a controversial climate like the one that has been created, if he really takes the helm of FC Porto, 'overtaking' Sérgio Concição.

"I always thought and continue to think that Sérgio, when he went to the elections, and before the elections, that if Pinto da Costa won the elections, Sérgio would continue and, if Villas-Boas won, he would not continue. I didn't say that by chance, it was a sensitivity of mine to try to understand the context in which the two candidacies were present, that one did not marry the other, which was Villas-Boas. Many people think so. When you get to a point like this, where Pinto Costa does not win the elections, it is obvious that the context, if Vítor Bruno is the coach of FC Porto, I honestly think that the terrain is completely mined. It is the best word I can find. I apologize if I am offending anyone, but I think the terrain is completely mined and it will be very difficult, even with the support of Villas-Boas", he said.

"If he is the coach of FC Porto, even with all the support, there are people, whether we like it or not, who are in favor and others against. The fans are some in favor and others against, the players are some in favor and others against, the technical team that is there, I don't know if it will continue, if it will not continue... One or another player who may be divided, will not be well either. A season will begin in which FC Porto wants to assert itself, with a new president and a new coach, perhaps a new squad, and which wants to stand side by side, be champion, with Sporting and Benfica, I think it is a very complicated, very difficult task. And on top of that, with what is happening, it is even more complicated", he stressed next.
