The Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo, was, from Saturday to Sunday, the stage of a duel of Portuguese 'accent', which ended with a triumph of Botafogo, by Artur Jorge, over Corinthians, by António Oliveira, by 0-1.

The goal that made the difference in favor of the cariocas came at 60 minutes of the match for the seventh round of the main echelon of Brazilian football, when, launched by Cuiabano, Júnior Santos shot first and put the ball at the back of the nets guarded by compatriot Carlos Miguel.

With this result, Botafogo now has 13 points and provisionally ascends to the leadership of the table, tied with Athletico Paranaense and Bahia, who will still face Fortaleza and Atlético Mineiro, respectively.

Corinthians, on the other hand, is 17th place, just below the 'waterline', with only five points won out of 21 possible, as many as Criciúma, who will host Abel Ferreira's Palmeiras this Sunday.
