Pestana Hotel Group sees profits fall 4% to €105 million in 2023
The Pestana Hotel Group (PHG) obtained a net result of 105 million euros in 2023, down 4% compared to the previous year, the CEO announced today, recalling that in 2022 the group had counted on an extraordinary capital gain.

In a meeting with journalists in Lisbon, José Theotónio said that in terms of recurring results, that is, not taking into account the extraordinary capital gain obtained in 2022, PHG's profit rose 30% last year.
During the 2022 fiscal year, the Group sold a hotel unit, the Pestana Blue Alvor, to the Azora fund for 75 million euros.
Revenue rose 23% in 2023, to 557 million euros, benefiting mainly from the growth in the average price of overnight stays.
