Lisbon Stock Exchange falls 0.97% with only BCP rising
The Lisbon stock exchange closed today in the red, with the PSI index losing 0.97% to 6,615.56 points, with only BCP in the 'green'.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the main index of the Lisbon stock exchange, 13 fell, one rose, BCP (0.92% to 0.33 euros), and two remained unchanged (REN and Greenvolt).

Mota-Engil led the declines, falling 4.14% to 4.07 euros, and Ibersol fell 3.04% to 7.02 euros, after announcing on Monday that its profit had fallen by 90% to 15.4 million euros in 2023.
CTT fell 1.89% to 4.41 euros, Navigator also fell 1.89% and stood at 4.15 euros, and Corticeira Amorim fell 1.84% to 9.58 euros.
EDP Renováveis fell 1.76% to 12.87 euros, EDP fell 1.56% to 3.53 euros, and Sonae fell 1.05% to 0.94 euros.
Galp shares, which rose sharply last week, fell 0.93% today to 20.20 euros.
Galp Energia made a profit of 337 million euros in the first quarter of 2024, 35% above the 250 million euros it had registered in the first three months of 2023 and more than the 284 million it achieved in the previous quarter.
Semapa fell 0.75% to 15.90 euros and Jerónimo Martins lost 0.72% to 19.35 euros.
The main European stock exchanges fell, with Madrid down 2.22%, Milan 1.60%, Frankfurt 1.03%, Paris 0.99% and London 0.04%.
In the benchmark index of the Madrid stock exchange (IBEX 35), BBVA led the declines and lost 6.65% on the day it announced that it had expressed interest to Banco Sabadell in starting negotiations to explore the possibility of a merger, three years after the failure of a first attempt at a merger.
On the other hand, Sabadell led the gains and rose 3.37%.
