All taxes have a payment deadline, but what happens if taxpayers fail to meet them? There is a whole procedure that follows the end of the date and interest is highlighted, according to the Tax Authority (AT).
"All taxes have a payment deadline. After this deadline without payment being made, interest on arrears begins to accrue", explains the AT, in a publication shared on the social network Instagram.
Well, "after the deadline, you have 15 days to make a request for payment in installments".
"If you do not do so, the debt will give rise to a tax enforcement procedure, where in addition to interest on arrears, you will have to pay other charges associated with the procedure", explains the Tax Authority.
The AT recalls that, "in addition, your income or assets may be seized to pay the debt".
