After all, which tolls will end with the proposal approved in Parliament?

The Parliament approved, on Thursday, the general terms of the PS bill to eliminate tolls on the former SCUT with the votes in favor of the socialists, Chega, BE, PCP, Livre, and PAN. After all, on which sections will the tolls end?
First of all, it is important to emphasize that the approved proposal foresees eliminating toll fees on the sections and subsections of the Interior highways (former SCUT) or where there are no alternative routes that allow use with quality and safety, now following the projects for the specialization process.
The approved proposal intends to end tolls on:
- A4 - Transmontana and Túnel do Marão,
- A13 and A13-1 -Pinhal Interior,
- A22 - Algarve,
- A23 - Beira Interior,
- A24 - Interior Norte,
- A25 - Beiras Litoral and Alta and
- A28 - Minho on the sections between Esposende and Antas and between Neiva and Darque.
It should be emphasized that this measure - which according to the socialists has a budgetary impact of 157 million euros - will come into effect on January 1, 2025, according to the PS bill.
