Wall Street closes without direction in a quiet session without relevant news
The New York Stock Exchange closed today in mixed order, with the selective index Dow Jones Industrial Average benefiting from an investment rotation, in a market waiting, lacking relevant news.

The final results of the session indicate that the Dow Jones advanced 0.44%, in what was its sixth consecutive session of gains, approaching its historical maximum, set on March 28.
The Nasdaq technology index fell 0.18% and the broad S&P500 ended with no variation.
Without relevant indicators, "there wasn't much economic news to consider," observed Jack Ablin, from Cresset Capital. "It's being a calm week, but the market is oriented towards the high side".
A sign of the weak volatility of Wall Street, the VIX index, which measures the anxiety of the operators, fell to its lowest level in six weeks.
On the other hand, the results of companies have only raised mitigated reactions.
"Companies were able to exceed expectations, but their forecasts for the whole exercise didn't change," highlighted Jack Ablin. "Profits didn't progress".
