REN increases investment until 2027 to 1,500 to 1,700 million
Redes Energéticas Nacionais (REN) plans to invest between 1,500 and 1,700 million euros by 2027, 70% more than the annual average of the previous investment cycle, according to the strategic plan released today.

According to the presentation sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), of the total investment value planned for the 2024-2027 cycle, about 65% is intended for electricity, 25% for gas and 10% internationally.
The expansion of the electricity grid is one of REN's priorities, recognising its "critical role in the energy transition", with an estimated annual investment in this segment of 240 to 280 million euros until 2027, 50% more than in the previous strategic plan (2021-2023).
