The forecasts pointed to a drop in fuel prices this week, but did that really happen? Let's do the math.
The price of simple diesel went down from €1.568/liter to €1.565/liter between Friday and Monday, while the price of simple 95 gasoline went from €1.784/liter to €1.756/liter in the same period, according to the average prices released by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).
All things considered, simple diesel became less than half a cent cheaper, while the price of simple 95 gasoline dropped 2.8 cents.
The forecasts, it should be noted, pointed to a drop of half a cent for diesel and three cents for simple 95 gasoline.
