Sonangol Oil Company Chairman Re-Elected
The chairman of the Angolan state oil company Sonangol, Sebastião Gaspar Martins, was reappointed today, after completing his five-year term last week, according to a presidential decree

With Gaspar Martins, nine of the 11 members of the previous board of directors are reappointed.
Sebastião Gaspar Martins joined Sonangol in 1980 and was an executive director of Sonangol between 2017 and 2019, the year in which he became chairman of the board of directors
He has a degree in Mining Engineering, with a focus on Petroleum, from Agostinho Neto University, and has completed international internships at the Enrico Mattei Institute, Agip, Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, and Berlitz School, Houston, (USA).
The Angolan President, João Lourenço, also made changes to his Agriculture Industry team today. His Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, João Bartolomeu da Cunha, will take on the same position in the Forestry sector, which until now belonged to André de Jesus Moda, who was appointed non-executive director of Sonangol.
Castro Paulino Camarada is the new Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, while Ivan Prado leaves Industry to make way for Carlos Manuel de Carvalho Rodrigues.
