Deutsche Telekom profit plunges 87.1% to €1,982 million in Q1
Deutsche Telekom's profit plunged by 87.1% in the first quarter of this year to EUR 1.982 billion, compared to the same period of the previous year, the German telecommunications company revealed today.

The decrease in net income in the quarter under analysis was due to the absence of extraordinary items resulting from the sale of GD Towers in 2023, Deutsche Telekom justifies in a statement.
The company's turnover, in turn, registered a growth of 0.4% in the first quarter, year-on-year, to 27,942 million euros, of which 23,485 million euros corresponded to services (+2.9%, year-on-year).
The group's gross operating profit (ebitda) grew by 6.5% until March, to 11,760 million euros, compared to the same period last year.
The company confirmed its forecasts for the rest of this year, expecting adjusted ebitda to grow by around 6% to 42,900 million euros, while free cash flow is expected to increase by 16% to 18,900 million euros.
