TVDE sector accuses the taxi sector of trying to benefit from the law's regulation
The National Association of TVDE Movement (ANMTVDE) accused today, in a statement, the taxi sector of "now trying to enter the regulatory process of the TVDE law so that the legislation will further meet the benefit of the taxi".

In the statement, released at dawn today, ANMTVDE states that the TVDE sector is being confronted by the taxi sector for regulation of the TVDE law, after several meetings in hearings in the Assembly of the Republic with parties with parliamentary seats, as well as with government regulatory and inspection entities for TVDE.
The association states that it has been fighting for the revision of law 45/2018, emphasising that it was drafted with the collaboration of the taxi sector, having given rise to several articles that have been damaging the quality of the TVDE sector, as well as its profitability and the livelihood of drivers and operators.
Law 45/2018 incorporates measures to protect the interests of the taxi sector, leaving TVDE hostage to profitability and livelihood options for drivers and operators, the association emphasises.
The association recalls that the taxi sector fought against the non-implementation of the TVDE service in Portugal and emphasises that now TVDE is being confronted by the taxi sector in the regulation of the law.
ANMTVDE assures that "it will continue to fight for the recovery of the quality of the sector as well as for the sustainability of the sector's stakeholders".
