TAP. The President should not "interfere in problems that are the shareholder's"
The Government defended today that TAP's chairman should focus on management, instead of "meddling in problems that are the shareholder's", after Luís Rodrigues said that the State should maintain a position in the company.

"I agree that the TAP president should focus on TAP's management and not interfere in issues that are the shareholder's. The TAP president should focus on TAP's management and TAP really needs good management and, at this time, that is it, everyone must play their role", said the Minister of Infrastructure, Miguel Pinto Luz, after leaving a ministerial meeting in Brussels.
TAP's president, Luís Rodrigues, defended that the State should maintain a stake in the airline after privatization and that investors outside the aviation sector should be attracted, in an interview with the Financial Times, published today.
"My recommendation would be that the Portuguese Government maintain a position, be part of the entire development process", said the TAP leader, in an interview with the British newspaper.
