Euro dips slightly ahead of Fed minutes
The euro fell slightly against the dollar today, on a day without major macroeconomic data and before the release on Wednesday of the minutes of the last monetary policy meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed).

At 6:00 p.m. (Lisbon time), the euro was trading at 1.0853 dollars, when on Monday it was trading at 1.0865 dollars.
The European Central Bank (ECB) set the euro exchange rate at 1.0864 dollars.
The euro traded slightly lower during the last hours of a session without major references.
On Wednesday, the market will be watching the release of the minutes of the last Fed meeting, which left interest rates unchanged, justifying the decision with the lack of progress on inflation, which remains high.
In Germany, it was announced that producer prices rose 0.2% in April compared to the previous month, while falling 3.3% compared to the same month in 2023, according to data from the federal statistical office (Destatis).
