Euro continues to fall against the dollar
The euro fell against the dollar on Wednesday ahead of the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's latest meeting that left interest rates unchanged.

At 5:50 p.m. (Lisbon time), the euro was trading at 1.0841 dollars, while on Tuesday it was trading at 1.0853 dollars. The European currency has been losing ground against the dollar since last Friday.
Today, investors are waiting for the Fed minutes to give signals about the next steps of the North American central bank, which left interest rates unchanged at its last meeting, while inflation remains high.
In the United Kingdom, it was announced that inflation fell to 2.3% in April, compared to 3.2% in March, reaching its lowest level in almost three years.
With this decline, inflation came closer to the 2% target set by the Bank of England and the pound registered a slight rise against the euro and the dollar.
