Air France is expanding its network, offering five additional routes, including three new ones to Salvador da Bahia (Brazil), Malé (Maldives) or Kiruna (Sweden). These destinations can be reached from Lisbon or Porto, via hub, at Charles de Gaulle airport, in Paris.
These are the first novelties for the winter of 2024-2025, more precisely from November to March.
With this new 'upgrade', the airline's passengers will be able to discover new destinations.
Salvador da Bahia, in Brazil, will have three weekly flights operated in Airbus A350-900, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, starting on October 28th of this year. In total, Air France will operate up to 30 weekly flights to and from Brazil.
"The former Brazilian capital, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be Air France's 5th destination in Brazil, after Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza and Belém", states a press release from AirFrance to which Notícias ao Minuto had access.
Malé, in the Maldives, will have up to two flights per week - on Fridays and Sundays - during the end-of-year festivities, from December 20th to January 5th of next year, which will be operated in Airbus A350-900.
Kiruna, in Sweden, will have one flight per week, on Saturdays, starting on December 21st, operated in Airbus A319. D
"After Rovaniemi, Kittilä (Finland), Tromsø and Narvik Loften (Norway), Kiruna will be Air France's 5th destination in Lapland and is an ideal starting point to enjoy the region's unspoiled nature and try to observe the Northern Lights", the note also highlights.
