Wall Street advances in the early trading
The New York Stock Exchange traded higher today at the start of the session, trying to end the week on a positive note before a holiday-shortened week next week.

At 3:00 p.m. (Lisbon time), the Dow Jones index rose 0.22% to 39,149.31 points and the Nasdaq gained 0.53% to 16,825.96 points.
The broad S&P 500 index advanced 0.40% to 5,289.00 points.
After a drop in the previous session, the New York Stock Exchange started trading more lively, before a three-day weekend, thanks to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.
With some of the operators already absent, the volume of transactions should be weaker throughout the session.
The yield on 10-year US Treasury bonds today reached 4.50%, for the first time in 10 days, after closing at 4.48%.
On Thursday, the Dow Jones lost 1.53%, the Nasdaq 0.39% and the S&P 500 fell 0.74%.
