Tokyo Stock Exchange opens with a 0.22% gain
Tokyo stocks opened higher Monday, with the benchmark Nikkei 225 index climbing 0.22 percent to 38,731.46 points.

The second indicator, the Topix, advanced 0.21% to 2,748.36 points at the start of the session.
The Nikkei index reflects the unweighted average of the 225 main values of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, while the Topix indicator groups the values of the 1,600 largest listed companies.
