A few days after the poster was released, director Todd Phillips took to social media to share the first trailer for 'Joker: Folie a Deux', the sequel to the Batman rival film that hit theaters in 2019.

"What the world needs now…" ["what the world needs now"]", wrote Phillips in the caption of the publication released this morning, thus referring to the theme composed by Burt Bacharach.

The images show the beginning of the connection between Arthur Fleck (Joker) and Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn), with the starting point being the release from prison of the character played by Joaquin Phoenix. The actor, it is worth remembering, is now joined as the protagonist by Lady Gaga, which has further increased the anxiety surrounding this production.

The premiere in Portugal of 'Joker: Folie a Deux' is expected to take place on October 3rd and while you wait you can watch the trailer below.
