Despite being only 17 years old, Mariana Venâncio has already represented Portugal at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in 2017, and participated in television productions such as 'Amor Amor', on SIC.

She is now part of the cast of seasons 3, 4 and 5 of 'Morangos Com Açúcar', a youth series on TVI and Prime Video, whose recordings started last Wednesday, April 16, on Carcavelos beach, in Cascais, and which Fama ao Minuto attended.

You are the youngest in the cast. How did you get to 'Morangos Com Açúcar'?

I am! I did several castings and ended up staying. I'm very happy.

And acting is what you really want to do or do you prefer music?

I love singing and I love acting, I can't choose one. On top of that, I can have both with this character [in 'Morangos'], so it's amazing.

What can we expect from your character, who is also called Mariana?

I don't think I can say much yet, but she's a very cheerful character, with many discoveries and she's going to get into some adventures. 

Are you prepared to be even more well-known?

Yes, above all I really like what I'm doing, which is acting, it's one of my big dreams. And so, yes, I think I'm prepared.

You have already finished school. Are you going to continue your studies?

Yes, I want to continue studying. I'm still deciding what I'm going to do, but I would like to take Marketing, it's an area that also interests me a lot. But of course, plan A is acting.

What do you expect from your participation in 'Morangos'?

I hope above all to have fun, enjoy myself and that it opens doors for me. It's a great opportunity.
