"If we are good to our children, why are we not to ourselves?"
The actress reflected on the challenges that we all face in our day to day.
Fama Joana Câncio
Mother of three, Joana Câncio often uses her social networks to talk about motherhood and this Sunday, April 21, was no exception.
The actress and digital influencer shared a text in which she said that lately she has been practicing an exercise when she feels that she is demanding too much of herself.
"Mothers. If we are good to our children, why aren't we good to ourselves? In recent weeks I have been doing a super 'power' exercise: Every time I have thoughts like I couldn't, again the clothes, the kitchen is a mess, the kids are so annoying, I can't look at myself in the mirror, I vacuum the house every day and it's never OK, I couldn't finish the tasks, I have little patience, I smile with effort.... I change it to: If my daughter spoke like this, what would I say?", she began by writing.
"Yes, a game-changer. There are no formulas for improvement that are transversal. Yes, there is, creating space for ourselves in a busy day, even if it's just in thought and breathing. It's already so much!", she concluded.
It should be remembered that the actress is the mother of Constança, 12 years old, the result of a previous relationship, of Lourenço, five, and Afonso, seven months old. The two boys are the result of Joana's current relationship with André Robalo.
