Marisa Cruz assumes menopause. "It's important to talk openly about it"

Marisa Cruz began to have the first signs of menopause two years ago, and this new phase of her life was the beginning of the conversation with Júlia Pinheiro.
Almost 50 years old, the model and actress highlighted the importance of talking about the subject. "Physically and in my life, I don't feel 50 years old", she said, confessing that "when she started with the first symptoms, she was scared because they were very strong emotional symptoms".
"Very sad and very scared. I found myself bursting into tears for nothing and everything. And I got scared! I've never had depression, I've never taken antidepressants, I've always been an optimistic person", she also shared on SIC's 'Júlia'
"At the time, I thought it was the end of my life as a woman, because the role that gave me the most pleasure in life was being a mother. The best thing I did in this life is my children. Knowing that I couldn't [be a mother] anymore... I didn't want to, but not being able to... That scared me a lot and, emotionally, I felt like I was finished", she confided. "I was very unstable, physically I started to feel less energy, my body swelling immensely. I asked for help and found it [the right help]", she added.
"I think it's really important to talk openly about this. It's a new chapter in our book. It's not the end of life, it's a new stage", she stressed.
During the conversation with Júlia Pinheiro, Marisa Cruz also confirmed that she will launch a cosmetics line. In addition, she revealed that she has changed her diet, stopped eating meat, and does yoga and meditation.
