Rita Ferro Rodrigues explains the reasons that made her leave SIC

Rita Ferro Rodrigues is the latest guest on the podcast 'N'A Caravana', as we had already told you here, and the conversation served for the presenter to talk about her most recent trip to Thailand and Dubai, as well as the moment when she decided to change her life and leave SIC, where she became known to the public.
Rita began by explaining that, at one point, she understood that she no longer felt "any pleasure" working on the channel, also because television, with the "peak of premium rate calls", became very different.
"I hated doing that. I did it honestly and I tried to be as sincere as possible with people, but... I was on the air for hours and I imagined my grandmother at home calling. For me it was extremely violent", she noted, referring to programs in which a prize is drawn through phone calls.
"The contents of the daytime programs, when I started doing them, were much more interesting. Francisco Menezes, one of my partners at the time, said that we were 'soul peelers'. At 20 I was able to turn off and go home, but at 40 I could no longer do it and I felt that there was a 'vampirizing' of people's lives and that I was not being correct. There were a number of questions of conscience...", added the presenter, who currently works on Channel 11.
Finally, Rita also pointed out that she had "lack of time" for herself and for her children, and that she ended up "leaving for good". "I have no reason to complain and I have a great relationship with the channel. It was important to me, because it was almost 20 years", she added.
