Pedro Pico, the man who was assaulted by José Castelo Branco in a video that went viral in recent days, agreed to give an interview to SIC and revealed new details about the circumstances in which this assault took place.

Pedro, who rented Betty Grafstein's house in Sintra in 2021, explained that the video in question was recorded at the end of last month, when Betty was already hospitalized in Portugal.

Pedro Pico admitted to having spoken about José's alleged assaults on Betty in the argument they had because "close friends had already commented on the socialite's more aggressive behavior."

"Abel Dias, who I talk to, has known for forty years that Betty gets beaten up. Either he [Castelo Branco] pushes her or hits her, always at home," explained the former contestant of 'Big Brother Famosos 2'.

Pedro later revealed that Betty's son, Roger Grafstein, had already filed a complaint against Castelo Branco with the authorities, although it was withdrawn by the jewelry designer herself.

"The mother [Betty] called Roger and said 'please come here and help me'. When he got there, Betty had a black eye and blood in her mouth. Betty told Roger that if he ever talked about it or went to the police, she would disinherit him. She forced her son not to talk," Pedro noted.

The creator of the character Teresa Al Dente, his identity as a drag queen, says he has already seen José speaking "aggressively" to Betty, especially when his wife did not want to leave the house to go to events. Even so, he confesses that he has never witnessed an assault.

Pedro Pico also says that he will sue José Castelo Branco for "assault, defamation, and losses caused by the controversy," since the situation in question caused him to lose his job at a marketing company.

It is important to remember that José Castelo Branco is spending the night at the GNR facilities in Alcabideche, where he is waiting to be heard in court.

The Fama ao Minuto obtained exclusive statements from the art dealer's agent, Luciana Lima, who assured that José is "calm and confident" and that he has the "perception that the case has taken another direction because he is a public figure".
