The 25-year-old participant from Almeirim made her 'life curve' and thus recalled the most impactful moments she has ever experienced. She began by saying that she had a happy childhood, marked by many travels and abundance. "I never lacked anything, sometimes it was even too much. But the day my brother was born, my father, throughout my childhood, always made a lot of distinction between me and my brother. I felt a lack of attention, because that's what I wanted, it was his approval. I never had it", she noted.

"We found out that he was having an affair and my mother later tried to go to Angola to solve the problem. There was really no going back. My mother didn't have much money to eat, because it wasn't enough, and my grandparents lent us money to help in the early days while the money didn't arrive here. Every day I asked for money and she couldn't give it to me", added Catarina, referring to the beginning of the difficulties in her home.

Catarina Miranda then talked about her first relationship, with a colleague from a restaurant where she worked. She says that at this time she was "insulted every day" and that to date this boy "paid a slightly higher price".

In the second year of the internship, the competitor participated in the Young Talent Contest of Gastronomy, which she ended up winning. She then decided to apply for a job as a chef on a cruise, whose course was paid for with money that her grandmother had won on a scratch card the day before the first installment.

In England, more precisely in Hull, Catarina took over as chef of three sections of a restaurant, where she experienced a moment of terror. "There was a day when I was scheduled to go to the best restaurant on the cruise. When they found out, there was a gentleman who entered the elevator and because I had taken his wife's place, he wanted to hurt me in the elevator, he wanted to attack me. If the elevator hadn't opened in time, I don't know what would have happened. It was hard, it was very hard", she reported.

It was at this moment that Catarina Miranda spoke about the abortion, a situation that she had already briefly addressed in the first days at the 'most watched house in the country'. "There was a boy, who I always thought was very funny, he's a family friend. We started dating and one day I started to feel bad. I was almost three months pregnant, and we had already ended this relationship. I got pregnant on the last night I had with him. I really wanted to be a mother, but he didn't want to take responsibility. It was the first time in my life that I suffered from depression", she recalled, saying that she had no desire to eat or do anything.

When she told her grandparents about the pregnancy, Catarina received a shocking response. "My grandmother told me: 'you can have this child, but your grandfather says that if you have this child you will have to leave home'. I had the account at zero, the best thing was to have an abortion. I didn't die, but a bit of me died that day", she said.

Near the end, Catarina Miranda recalled her participation in the SIC program 'Hell's Kitchen'. "I really wanted to win, but in that competition I knew I wouldn't win. I was the villain, people talked badly about me without knowing me. I think that, at this time, what saved me was knowing who I really am", she assured.
