Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been forced to suspend fundraising for their charity - the Archewell Foundation - by regulators, it has been reported.
On May 3, California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a notice on behalf of the Registry of Charitable Trusts to the foundation.
Documents seen by the New York Post show the Duke and Duchess of Sussex failed to file an annual report and pay required registration fees.
As a result, the foundation is "prohibited from engaging in conduct requiring registration, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds," it states.
It could also face fines and have its registration suspended.
However, the situation is said to have now been rectified by Archewell and the issue is expected to be resolved later this week.
Over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Nigeria to see projects supported by their foundation.
