Pedro Pico used his Instagram page to make a new clarification about the domestic violence case in which José Castelo Branco was accused of assaulting his wife, Betty Grafstein.
"The reason why I, Pedro Afonso Pico, decided to be the first person to speak publicly about the (still unproven) physical and psychological domestic violence that Lady Betty allegedly suffered for over 20 years, with dozens of witnesses now speaking, was when I realized after speaking to them today that the clinical case is very serious," he begins by saying.
"As you can see in this video, Lady Betty speaks to me with love - it was the day I signed the contract that she asked me to sign, to rent her Sintra palace, which was in ruins at the time, so that I could pay her mortgage debts and she wouldn't lose her home. Here she says 'hello' to me and wishes me lots of love!", he says.
"But the important thing here is to talk about all the violence that women suffer every day, throughout their lives. Physical and psychological violence. The sadness, the pain and the shame of being an unavoidable figure in society and in jewelry. With charisma and professionalism, Betty has always shown herself to be different", he continues.
"Today I know from close sources that Betty's condition is very, very serious. I sent good vibes to Betty and to all the others who suffer every day", he says finally.
It is important to remember that Betty Grafstein remains hospitalized in a private health unit having recently suffered a pulmonary embolism.
