'Bridgerton' Actress Bares All in New Series to Shut Down 'Haters'
Nicola Coughlan says she felt 'empowered' by Bridgerton's naked scenes

Nicola Coughlan, the actress who stars in the third season of the Netflix series 'Bridgerton', revealed that she insisted on doing the scenes in which she exposed her body, as a way of responding to the criticism she is targeted with on the internet.
"I specifically asked for certain lines to be included," Coughlan said in an interview with Stylist magazine.
"There's a scene where I'm naked in the camera. That was my idea, that was my choice", she explains.
"I felt like it was the biggest 'f*** you' to the conversation around my body. It was really empowering," she explains.
"I felt beautiful in that moment. I thought, 'when I'm 80 and I watch this back I want to remember how 'fit' I was," she finally says.
Note that the new season premieres today, May 16.
