Sara Norte: "I paid for my mistake. My record is clean"

It was during the 'Passadeira Vermelha' program this Wednesday, May 15, that Sara Norte decided to respond to the criticism she has been the target of due to her comments on José Castelo Branco's domestic violence case.
"Many people have come down on me because I am criticizing Zé, or commenting - which is my job, because they think I come here for free. No, I get paid, it's my job and I have responsibilities in it," she began by emphasizing.
"They always point the finger and say that I was in prison and that I am nobody to talk. I made a mistake, I paid for it, I was in prison for a year and four months, in fact, I paid more because my mother died when I was in prison and I couldn't even say goodbye to her," she explains.
"Just because I had a past, it's over... My record is clean. I will always comment and criticize those who abuse the elderly, children and women," she says, finally.
It should be recalled that the actress was arrested on February 6, 2012, in Algeciras, Spain, after being caught traveling with 800 grams of hashish in her stomach. The actress was intercepted by the Spanish authorities when she was returning from a trip to Morocco.
Sara Norte was released on July 5, 2013.
