Hacking. Prince Harry loses court bid to sue Murdoch

Prince Harry has been blocked by the High Court from adding allegations targeting billionaire Rupert Murdoch to his phone hacking lawsuit against News Group Newspapers.

The High Court ruled on Tuesday 21 May that the specific claims against Murdoch will not be allowed to proceed to trial and have been struck out, the BBC reports.

Murdoch is the owner of media conglomerate News Corporation, which includes News Group Newspapers - the publisher of The Sun, The Times and The Sun on Sunday.

In December last year, the youngest son of King Charles III won a privacy case against the publisher of the Daily Mirror, which was ordered to pay him £125,000 in damages. The court heard that the newspaper had accessed the prince's private messages by listening to voicemails.
