Bruno Fernandes reveals that his wife used to pay for dates in the beginning
"At the time I didn't have much money, so Ana paid for the tickets. The same thing happened at dinner. Even the pizza, she had to pay for it", the football player recalls.

Bruno Fernandes and Ana Pinho have been married since 2015, however, their love story began in their teens. In an interview with The Players Tribune, the soccer player recalled the beginning of their romance, which was marked by several challenges, especially financial ones.
"Ana has been with me since we were 16, 17, 18 years old. We met when we were teenagers, and when we started dating I didn't earn anything as a player. She already had a good job as a soccer referee on weekends," he describes.
"She used to do three or four games in a row on Saturday, then we would always go to the movies on Sunday," he reveals.
"At the time I didn't have much money, so Ana paid for the tickets. The same thing happened at dinner. Even the pizza had to be paid for by her," he emphasizes, noting that his partner has always been a great support throughout his life.
"When I moved to Italy at the age of 17, I lived in a training camp the first year and then she came to live with me at the age of 18, when she finished high school. From the first day we have been pursuing this dream together," he adds.
It should be noted that Bruno and Ana have two children together: Matilde, seven years old, and Gonçalo, three years old.
