Lily Allen has revealed that she and her husband have access to each other’s phones in a surprising interview with The Sunday Times.
The actress said she has a child’s phone that requires parental controls.
"I have a children’s phone called a Pinwheel. It has no social media, no internet access, but you can get Uber and Spotify on it," she explained.
"My husband controls what apps I can have on my phone. I control his too," she added.
However, the star went on to explain the benefits the system has had on her. "The creative part of my brain has been ruined by smartphones. I think everyone feels the same.
"I don’t know anyone who can say their life has been improved by having a smartphone. I think it’s made us worse as a species. It’s terrible that they’ve been designed to be so addictive. Some of us have more addictive personalities than others. It’s evil," she continued.
"We’re meant to evolve as people. How are you meant to do that if you’re constantly being held to account for things you said in the past? I said something 20 years ago when I was a completely different person, I wasn’t married, I didn’t have kids. Of course I had a different f****** view on things. Don’t hold me to that," she added.
Allen and Harbour married during the pandemic.
