Nuno Morais Sarmento was on the verge of death: "A certainty brought"

Manuel Luís Goucha received Nuno Morais Sarmento on his program this Tuesday, May 28. The former minister, who was between life and death during a battle with pancreatic cancer, described an experience he went through when he said goodbye to his wife and children, in one of the most critical moments of the fight.
"Death scares me as much as the unknown scares me," he began by saying.
"I remember leaving the room and turning to my wife who was still there and saying: 'Filipa, don't leave, if you leave I have no one to come back to,'" he describes.
The guest notes that contrary to what is usual "he did not see a tunnel or light". "Maybe it's because I'm not going to heaven," he asked.
However, the experience gave him a certainty: "Life does not end here". The conclusion "reassures him", as he pointed out.
