Jennifer Lopez has announced the cancellation of her 'This Is Me' tour, which was set to take place across the United States. The singer, in a newsletter she regularly sends to fans, explained that she needs to "take some time for myself and the kids and my close family and friends," though she stressed that the decision was a difficult one to make.
"I'm heartbroken and devastated that I'm having to cancel the tour, please know that I would not do this unless I felt it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you guys and we will be together again soon. I love you so much. See you soon," the 54-year-old singer concluded.
Despite this justification, the North American press has been emphasizing that the tour was experiencing low ticket sales and some of the dates had already been canceled.
At the beginning of March, seven of the concerts were removed from the list and the organizer justified everything as part of "a logistical problem," an explanation that does not seem to have been completely convincing.
Jennifer Lopez's latest album, entitled 'This Is Me… Now,' had a big promotion but did not achieve the initially expected results. The tour, now canceled, was intended to promote this album, which sold only 14,000 copies in its first week.
It is worth remembering that in recent days, Jennifer Lopez has been dealing with rumors of an alleged separation from Ben Affleck, whom she married for the second time in July 2022. The couple, it is recalled, were engaged in 2000, but the separation happened before the exchange of rings. The romance was rekindled twenty years later.
