Let him who has never thrown a pan full of grease into the dishwasher cast the first stone. We know that you don't always have the availability or the necessary patience, but don't despair. The Informe Brasil portal revealed a simple trick that promises to leave pots, pans and the stove shiny and ready to use again.
The 'secret' lies in the combination of simple but highly powerful ingredients. Let's go step by step, dear reader. With gloves on, add 200 milliliters (ml) of water to a container, add a tablespoon of cornstarch and mix well until completely dissolved. Then add four tablespoons of sugar and stir well. Then add 100 ml of detergent to the mixture and shake gently.

In a second container, place four tablespoons of lye and 200 ml of water. Mix and let it act for five to 10 minutes until you get a transparent liquid. Pour the caustic soda mixture into the first one and stir until you get a homogeneous solution.
The next step is to transfer the foam to a glass container with a lid. Informe Brasil warns: it is important to use glass to avoid chemical reactions with the container.

In practice, apply the foam directly to the surface or object you want to clean, either with a spray bottle, a brush or a sponge. Let the foam act for a few minutes until the grease begins to soften. After about five minutes, scrub with a sponge or brush. If necessary, repeat the process.
Finally, just rinse everything very well with water to remove any residue.
